Morteza Eqbalzada
Over three years ago, Morteza jumped head first into the world of photography with his mobile phone in hand. As a self-taught photographer, he has since worked on editing documentaries & capturing the life and times of Bamyan, Afghanistan through street photography. Committed to exploring & presenting the truth, his photos demonstrate the strength of the Hazara people as they endure oppression and survive in the most challenging living conditions. Every expression caught in his lens reflects the beauty, fragility and intense determination of the Hazara people. Morteza raises both awareness and funds for the betterment of his community. By posting and selling his work, he hopes to find a way to uplift & empower those most in need while also celebrating Hazara culture and traditions. With a Bachelor degree in Law & Political Sciences, he brings both knowledge & experience as he manages the HELP AFGHAN STREET CHILDREN organization. All funds raised to support the education – specifically, reading, writing, english and the arts – of over 300 street children while providing food & fuel for their families.
