In Afghanistan, many children are unable to continue their education due to economic hardships. I have observed in various parts of the city that children are either painting shoes or selling items like pens and other small goods, or collecting used bottles from garbage to sell them for a small income to help their families with food. After witnessing such conditions, I spoke with one of these families and proposed that if I could provide the daily amount of money they earn from these activities, the child could continue their education. The family agreed to this proposal. I invite you to join me in this effort to help at least a few children in such circumstances avoid the pain of illiteracy. As the saying goes, ignorance is a greater hardship than hunger. Let’s work together to make a difference.
