We are pleased to announce that Aseel made it to the final round of two different pitch competitions.
Firstly, in February 2020, Abdullah Khalid, Aseel’s chief legal advisor, presented the Aseel platform to a panel of judges for the yearly Deliveroo Big Pitch in the UK. Deliveroo uses its Big Pitch to fund new tech startups, allowing business owners to present their ideas to the world’s leading tech investors. Out of thousands of applications, 6 were chosen as finalists with Aseel being one of them. This alone was a great achievement for Aseel. Although Aseel did not receive the final prize, it came very close to it and we still consider this a huge achievement. The opportunity exposed our platform to multiple tech investors and we received invaluable feedback on how to improve ourselves further.
In April 2019, Aseel was chosen as an alternate presenter for Inventures. This was again a competitive process where we beat thousands of applications to be chosen. Inventures is a tech start-up funder that works to connect promising businesses with big-tech investors. Whilst Aseel did not get to pitch at the Inventures Virtual Pitch event on June 3rd in Calgary, we were proud to have been chosen as an alternate and made it far in the competition. The opportunity got us exposure, wider recognition, and very positive feedback on our work.
