About the Campaign
Afghanistan is one of the countries where Media and Journalism are one the riskiest professions for both men and women to be engaged in. Roughly 180 media outlets were sealed and are not functioning. Resultantly, thousands of journalists and media workers lost their jobs. Similarly, there are hundreds of thousands of others who are facing economic hardships during this tough time. But the journalists especially female journalists find it very hard to find employment and jobs during these crises. Though thousands of Afghanistan journalists have lost their income source a group of 130 journalists that we have listed, are facing severe economic hardships. Many of these journalists are the only breadwinners of their families. Of these 130 journalists, 60 percent are women. Now, these journalists and their families are without any shelter and a reliable source of income for months. They are living in miserable conditions. These struggling souls are looking to us for help. So, we have devised a fundraising campaign to help these 130 journalists. Though we are working on a plan for a long-term solution for helping them through various approaches until then, we need your help. The money raised through this campaign will go straight to the 130 journalists and their families to cater to their daily needs such as food packages. We are doing this because we feel indebted to their great reporting services. They have told the world the realities of Afghanistan under any weather and any conditions. We are also asking that you donate whatever you can to help these journalists. More importantly, whether or not you can donate, share this story with all of your friends and family. Thank you for your time.
