Fatima Shirzad Handicrafts ShopFatima Shirzad Handicrafts
Selling from AfghanishtanFatima Shirzad, the founder of Fatima Shirzad Handicrafts, acquired the art of crafting intricate jewelry through a course offered by Firoz Koh Center in 2016. She has a bachelor's degree in Economics. Fatima established her business in 2017, and she currently employs fifteen artisans, of which three are female, with five directly involved in the production process and then indirectly. Her collection includes jewelry pieces like necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and anklets that feature detailed filigree work and intricate patterns, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Afghanistan. Each piece of jewelry is characterized by bold, intricate designs and the use of precious stones and metals. Traditional designs are combined with modern techniques to create these unique and contemporary pieces. All the raw materials for the products are sourced from local markets in various Afghanistan provinces. Fatima aims to expand her business and empower other female artists who desire independence by teaching them the art of jewelry making. She has been involved in global market transactions since 2018, and she has participated in all national exhibitions conducted overall in the country. She sees partnering with Aseel as a vital first step toward achieving her international expansion goal and showcasing the elegance of Afghan jewelry. Not only will this increase revenue for Fatima, but it will also contribute to the Afghan economy. Fatima envisions becoming a renowned jewelry designer and expanding her business globally through Aseel's collaboration and Turquoise Mountain's business development support.
