Ahmad Reshad Maher, the owner of Maher Arts (Namayeshgah Maher), started learning about paintings, calligraphy, and the arts in 2006. Since he had a tremendous interest in arts and paintings, he began taking classes and decided to learn from a professional calligrapher, artist, and painter named Hamid Majid. Maher studied underneath him for a year and gained all the skills required for this field. Afterward, he started teaching these skills in different places; he taught for almost a year at other schools and a year at ARCS.AF (Sra Myasht), and for more than two years here at his gallery. Besides being a student in 2nd year at the Journalism Faculty at Jahan Noor University, he teaches calligraphy, painting, and arts at the gallery he inaugurated in 2020. He has fifteen years of experience in this field and wants to continue to work further and better in the future. For the time being, three people are working with him. Throughout these years, he has taught calligraphy, paintings, and arts to more than three hundred students. Currently, he has around twenty-eight students at his Arts Gallery. Our goal is to teach this skill to all Afghan people who did not get the chance to do a proper course in this field. In addition to working on classic paintings, we also work on modern styles of paintings such as abstract and knife. In 2017, we worked on all the arts and tableaus at Intercontinental Hotel in Kabul. We are a part of Serena hotel's exhibition and have our tableaus there as well. We also have online tutorials for students on social media who can learn these skills online. Maher believes that Aseel's online platform can help achieve a broader range of consumers who would love their artwork.
