Abdul Qader Rasul, owner and founder of Ariana Handicrafts, has been supplying the highest quality handmade oriental and modern rugs to its clients for over 45 years. Over the past four decades, this esteemed handmade rug shop has built up its reputation in manufacturing and supplying high-quality handmade rugs and crafts. Originally from Istalif, Abdul Rasul started as a carpet weaver at a very young age. He started his own business in the famous Chicken Street of Kabul, Afghanistan, in 1980. And by the early 1990s, they had moved premises to Peshawar and started working broadly with Afghan refugees in various refugee camps to keep the Afghan carpet industry alive and provide income to the weavers. As the situation in Afghanistan changed in 2002, Ariana Handicrafts moved back to Afghanistan, and since then, they have continued to provide high-quality rug production to their clients. Ariana Handicrafts employs approximately 30 people directly in the shop. Another 300 full-time employees weave carpets from their homes and deliver them to the factory when they are finished. Currently, they manufacture and sell carpets and handicrafts to countries throughout the region. The brand offers a variety of nomadic, villager, and vegetable dyes. They also make fine wool carpets in designs like Ziegler, Qandahar, Suzanis, Red Afghan, Fine Mouris, Kunduz, Akhal Gul, Qarchi Gak, Main Naqsha, Fish Design, Bokhara design, Gandom Design, Yousuf Baie, Kilims/Flat weave and many others. Ariana Handicrafts has also begun to produce pottery products. What makes the products of Ariana Handicrafts stand out is their unbeatable quality. This quality comes from choosing superior wool and intricately small weaving techniques. The best high-quality wool comes from Ghazni, Afghanistan. The other high-quality wool comes from Belgium and gets processed in Afghanistan. From local Ghazni wool and some imported kinds, thousands of carpets are produced with some of the most well-known designs, such as Qazaq and Chobrang. Many high-quality carpets with these designs have been made by Ariana Handcrafts and have been exported to foreign countries for over 20 years.
