Barleyan Jewelry Ahmad Noman Ebrahimi, the head of Barleyan Jewelry, first started as an apprentice at Barleyan Jewelry at 17 in 2016 in Turquoise Mountain (Ferozkoh). Within a year, he learned the art of jewelry thoroughly, and in 2019, he established his store called Ebrahimi Jewelry. He ran Ebrahimi Jewelry until the fall of the Afghan government on the 14th of August, 2021. After the fall of Afghanistan, the owner of Barleyan, Monawar Shah Ghadosi, left the country, which led Ahmad Neman Ebarimi to take over the Barleyan Jewelry. At Barleyan, he oversees 12 employees, including two apprentices and three indirect employees outside of Afghanistan. Ebrahimi graduated from Darul-Uloom and is currently studying economics in Kabul. Barleyan Jewelry's raw materials are entirely sourced from Afghanistan's natural gemstones and metallic elements. In addition to metallic elements such as gold, silver, and bronze, Barleyan Jewelry uses Afghan gemstones: lapis, lazuli, emeralds, ruby, and other precious and semi-precious stones and metals. These materials are acquired from the raw material markets across the country. Barleyan Jewelry Company produces about 2500 different types of jewelry, including rings, earrings, bracelets, and lockets, which come in various Afghan, foreign, classic, and modern styles. Having worked in this profession for over six years, Ebrahimi's ultimate goal is to prosper and leave a lasting name in the jewelry business. He believes that Afghan national products represent Afghan national identity in the global market. Thus, he strives to expand his business to international markets and export worldwide.
