About Campaign

Bibi Adela is a widow with a young daughter and a family of five. Her husband has passed away, leaving her with four orphaned children. They live in a two-room house where, during the winter and rainy seasons, water leaks through the ceiling, and they endure life in damp rooms. Her only sources of income are sewing, working in people’s homes, and similar tasks. She says that with the rising cost of food and fewer job opportunities during the winter, she can no longer find work. Additionally, she is now unable to sew because of back problems, as she is unwell. Her son, who is a 7th-grade student, works as an apprentice in a shop, earning 100-150 Afghanis daily. Despite these efforts, they are struggling to survive the cold days and nights of winter.

Zekarya Hotak

(Mohammad Zekirya Hotak, son of Hamidullah Hotak, 25 years old. I graduated from the 14th-grade program at the Afghan Technology Institute in Kabul in 2020. Due to life challenges and the problems that arose in the country, I took the special university entrance exam in 2021 and successfully gained admission to the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, in Paktia province. During the gap years before taking the entrance exam, I held managerial positions at Kabul Breshna Company, the Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan, and as a manager and accountant at a salt production company in Logar province. These roles provided me with valuable experiences. I am fluent in Dari and Pashto, and I can also communicate effectively in English to solve my needs. Currently, I am serving as a volunteer at the Aseel Atalan Institute.)
