About Campaign

“I am Khalyla Harito and I am raising funds for 40 war-affected families in Kabul and 50 war-affected families in Mazar. Millions of people are facing starvation due to the crisis in Afghanistan and it is our duty as humans to help others in need. Every time I have a meal, I cannot get the pictures out of my mind of those that are so malnourished and those begging for food especially women and children. I cannot bear to think that they don’t even have a piece of bread to eat. I am not putting their pictures for their dignity. Many didn’t ask to be in this situation. Therefore, I am asking for you to skip a day of tea and cake and donate to my fundraiser. All money raised will go to feeding 90 families through food parcels which will help a family for one month of essential items. The people of Afghanistan should not have to suffer for the politics and the recent events that have taken place. Unfortunately, aid may not reach many on time, so why not help a family in desperate need now. More than half of the country faces severe poverty and the figures almost doubled in the last two months. You may also select a family to whom you would like to donate. Anybody outside Afghanistan that wishes to send food parcels to family members can also do so. "Tashakor", thank you to all that are supporting something very close to my heart. “ – Khalyla Harito
