About Campaign
When I met Soma, she was smiling — a small girl with a big dream. She told me she wanted to become a teacher one day. She spoke with joy, not yet fully aware of the weight her young shoulders are forced to carry.
Soma lives in a tent, with her parents, her three sisters, and one brother. They were forcefully returned from Pakistan and now have nowhere to go — no house, no land, no place in Afghanistan they can call home. Her father quietly shared that they plan to settle in tents in one of the provinces, because they have no other option.
But Soma didn’t talk about any of that.
She looked at me and said,
“Can you bring me toys so I can play with my sisters?”
This campaign is for Soma — and for every child like her who still dares to dream in the middle of displacement. We aim to bring small moments of joy through toys, books, and comfort kits for displaced children like her, while supporting their families with basic items to help them survive their transition.
Soma doesn’t need pity. She needs a chance to play, to smile, and to grow up believing her dreams are still possible — even from a tent.
Let’s bring light into her temporary shelter. Let’s help her dream survive.
