Nazanin is a 21-year-old girl from Afghanistan, who dreams of becoming a doctor. She was student in the Medical faculty until 2021, when universities were closed due to radical changes in Afghanistan. Since then, her life has taken a heartbreaking turn. Nazanin suffers from severe health issues that have changed everything for her. It all started with a headache, but it quickly got worse. Tragically, she has lost vision in her right eye and can only see through her left eye when wearing sunglasses. The doctors say she has retinal detachment, a condition that cannot be treated in Afghanistan. Due to deep economic problems, Nazanin and her family are forced to live in a village where basic needs are hard to come by. The pain of her condition is compounded by the weight of their financial struggles. Nazanin needs to be sent outside of Afghanistan for urgent treatment, but she has no means to do so.
