About Campaign
The Rescue Mother and Child in Afghanistan (RMCA) clinic, located in Bahadur Khil, Sayed
Abad District of Maidan Wardak Province, plays an essential role in providing vital healthcare
services to some of Afghanistan's most vulnerable populations, particularly pregnant women,
newborns, and children. Established in 2022, RMCA operates as a non-profit, impartial, and
non-governmental organization, working to province emergency health services for those who
need it most.
In December 2024, RMCA launched a six-month pilot project by opening Bahadur Khil Sub -
Health Center (SHC), which is set to run until May 31, 2025. This initiative will provide essential
primary health services to an estimated population of 12,050 people living in the region,,
including Bahadur Khil, Bagak, Charahdahi, Patankhil, Sirk, and Sarkol. The clinic is
strategically located over 10 kilometers away from other health facilities. Due to lack of transport
facilities a mother and child were obliged to walk this distance in 3 to 4 hours according to
weather condition to get medical consult.
In December 2024, the clinic successfully treated 903 patients, including children and adults, in
January there was a remarkable increase in the number of patients, with 1,908 individuals
served, including total 362 children under five, , and 1,009 female more than 5 years . RMCA
also provided critical psychological support to 11 individuals and antenatal care (ANC) to 44
women. During month of December and January 7 women got normal delivery in the clinic.
Babies got vaccine and sent home.
With your support RMCA can continue to provide life-saving services such as 24 hours
maternity care, vaccinations, nutritional counseling, maternal health care, and psychological
support and care of pregnant women and children.
Your donation will directly help to sustain and expand these services, ensuring that every child
and mother in the region receives the care they highly need.
Let’s work together to make healthcare accessible to all in Bahadur Khil. Your generosity can
help us reach more families, save lives, and offer hope to those in dire need.
Join us today in making a difference for mothers and children in Bahadur Khil!
