Malika is a hardworking and resilient mother of three, fighting against overwhelming odds to ensure her family’s survival. Despite facing immense challenges, including caring for her children and enduring the violence of her husband, who suffers from a nervous disorder, Malika refuses to give up. Her husband’s condition has made him violent, and she has suffered abuse at his hands, making her life even more difficult. Yet, Malika remains hopeful and determined, working tirelessly in people’s homes to earn a small income and provide for her children’s most basic needs.

Mado Sarwari
My name is Madina Sarwari, a resident of Balkh province. I completed my studies at Khalid Bin Walid School. After graduating from school in 2019, I began studying English Literature at university and graduated from Mawlana University in 2022 with a degree in English Literature. I worked for five years at the Skateistan office, teaching underprivileged students in areas such as education, care, and sports. Additionally, I taught for two years at the private Khalid Bin Walid School. I worked as a supervisor at the BRAC office for six months and spent three months working at the Search for Common Ground office, and now I am working with Aseel organization as a volunteer.
