My eldest daughter, Sana, is 12 years old. In 2014, she was treated at the Children's Health Hospital for 45 days due to a stomach problem. During this time, the doctors even performed a procedure where they drew white blood from her back, suspecting that she might have tuberculosis. Despite taking a lot of medication, her condition continued to worsen. In 2022, I had to take her to Pakistan because I lacked the money and necessary documents to seek proper treatment. The journey to Spin Boldak and then to Peshawar took almost 24 hours by bus. I had no money for this trip, but through begging from many people, I was able to gather some funds. Upon arrival in Peshawar, after three days of illness, the doctors diagnosed Sana with both tuberculosis and anemia. Despite the treatment, she still avoids eating wheat bread, and we have to rely on millet and barley. Our situation is dire due to her ongoing medical problems.
