Kamila, daughter of Abdul Qadir, is originally from Tashqurghan, the heart of Khulm in northern Afghanistan. She now resides in Mazar-e-Sharif, where she has bravely taken on the role of sole provider for her family, as her husband struggles with addiction. Living in a rented house, Kamila cares for her four children, all of whom face significant health challenges. Her two eldest daughters endure the most severe conditions: one has lived with a mental disability since birth, and the other suffers from intestinal obstruction and malnutrition. Despite her tireless efforts, Kamila has been unable to secure the support her family desperately needs.
