Mrs. Mohammad Yasin, a widow, is doing everything she can to provide for her large family while enduring severe poverty. She lives in a small house with her eight children, daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren, all relying on the meager income of her son, the sole breadwinner. He earns only 200 Afghanis a day by pushing a cart through the streets, an amount that barely covers their most basic needs. Their financial situation is so dire that none of the children can attend school, as they simply can’t afford the cost of clothes, books, or supplies. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Mrs. Mohammad Yasin remains resilient, but the family’s future looks increasingly uncertain without help.
