What is an Omid ID?

Omid ID is a unique identification number for registered individuals/families in Aseel. “Omid” means “hope” in multiple languages representing a beacon of hope for those in dire situations. The ID tracks a family’s location, contact information, aid received, and assistance needed. It also includes information to determine eligibility for further aid. Aseel provides each beneficiary with an Omid Card. The Omid card is essential to our process as it ensures transparency for our donors, organizations, and beneficiaries.

How to get an Omid ID?

Omid ID is provided to families in need. You can use the below form to register and issue an Omid ID to a family that you think needs assistance. The Omid can receive assistance as soon as it’s created. As soon as an Omid ID is issued, you can send aid, the Omid ID holder can send it to anyone, anywhere in the world and get aid.

Using the Omid ID created, you can send direct aid to the holder of the Omid ID. Currently, Aseel enables you to send direct aid in form of packages including food, winter, life and children packages. We are expanding our offering to send other forms of aid as we go forward.

Aseel, through its Emergency Response platform, has helped more than 300K individuals identified and verified by donors and Aseel Atalan - a network of local volunteers. Aseel allows donors to donate ER package(s) to their pre-designated family using the “Aseel beneficiary forms”. The donor purchases the package(s), fills out the beneficiary form, and then Aseel delivers these packages to those families. In addition, donors can donate ER package(s) to vulnerable families whose eligibility is verified by Atalan. Eligible families for assistance include disaster-impacted families, single-breadwinner families, non-breadwinner families, female-led families, widows,
As you know, the Omid ID is provided to families in need. In order to get an Omid ID, please go through the registration process below. After the registration, you will get your Omid ID for the family you want to get assistance.
Aseel totally depends on individual donations. We are not supported by any big organizations. In order to receive assistance, you will need to ask someone to make a donation for you. Once the donation is made, we will deliver accordingly. However, if you are unable to find a donor but have an Omid Id, we will keep you in our pending list and will provide assistance when we receive donations without specific families.

The information provided to create an Omid ID is safe and protected. This information is only shared with the donor and the Atalan who is delivering the package. The information is kept confidential and is not shared with anyone without the consent of the donor or the beneficiary.
The Omid Id does not expire and can be referenced anytime. You do not need to register a family over and over again. You can always reference the specific family Omid ID in the comment section of your order and that order will be delivered to the Omid ID.
Omid Card is a printed card that has the Omid ID printed on it. This card is provided to families receiving packages.
You can specify a beneficiary for your subscription and create an Omid ID for the beneficiary. The Aseel Team will deliver the package on a monthly basis to the assigned Omid ID. In case you have already registered a family and have their Omid Id beforehand, you can mention their Omid ID while subscribing for the package.
