Abdul Rahman Carpets ShopAbdul Rahman Carpets
Selling from AfghanishtanIn 1977 Abdul Naeem, an eighth-grade graduate started Abdul Rahman Carpets in Afghanistan. Initially, Naeem traded the handwoven carpets to local distributors before establishing a manufacturing facility with the help of his grandson, Abdu Rahman. They now employ approximately 40 Afghan crafters who design and weave the carpets, rugs, runner rugs, prayer mats, and wall hanging carpets from home or factory. The brand focuses on handwoven carpets with designs such as Maranosi, Mawri, Beljik, Mazari, Andkhoi, Samarqand, Bashiri, Kashmiri, Aqcha, Kashi, and Yosoufi. In addition to hand-weaving skills, Abdul Rahman also uses modern technology to enhance carpet production, meanwhile exporting its carpets to local and international markets. These handwoven carpets are meticulously assembled and distributed to the leading shop in Kabul and then to foreign countries. All the materials, such as wool and thread, are consumed either from Afghanistan or from other alternative sources. Since the demand for the Afghan countries is very high in the international markets due to their unique and ancient designs and styles, the brand sees capturing a broader customer. Upon joining Aseel, Abdul Rahman wishes to increase sales and strengthen the brand's economic growth and the country.
