Jamma Zeib brand was founded in 2022 by Nazanin Momand, who was then 22 years old. She earned her high school diploma from a girls' high school in the Kabul province and her bachelor's degree in economics from Nangarhar University's Dalkhwaim department. Nazanin could not pursue a career in the field of her own choice; however, she learned and worked in the clothing and design fields for four months. She currently has more than a year of experience in the fashion industry. The company employs twenty people and trains them on how to use the company's machines and materials. Their handmade collection includes various Afghan vintage clothes ideal for weddings, parties, and other ceremonial functions. All the necessary raw materials, such as beads, cherma, mirrors, pearls, laces (feta), and fabrics, are purchased from the market located inside Afghanistan. All the designs and styles embedded in the clothes are contemporary designs or based on ancient motifs. The company has hundred-plus handmade clothes available for sale. The brand envisions Afghan cultural and traditional handmade clothes alongside Jamma Zeib's products reaching an international audience and marketplace, increasing the brand's profit and contributing to Afghanistan's economy. Furthermore, the company wishes to see illiterate women work from home and become financially independent.
