Benafsha Ahmadi founded her brand, Sheen Shaal, in 2010 at the young age of 13. Soon after she graduated from 12th grade, Benafsha pursued her passion in the tailoring and clothing industry. Benafsha's passion for tailoring led her to pursue an apprenticeship at a private course, where she gained expertise in tailoring. With over 13 years of experience in fashion and clothing, Benafsha has become an expert in her field. Today, Sheen Shaal is a thriving business that employs a team of 10 artisans who work directly with Benafsha to run business operations effectively. The brand specializes in Gande Afghani, traditional women’s clothes of Afghanistan, and a range of jewelry items featuring contemporary designs blended with ancient ones. Benafsha sources all the raw materials, such as cherma and wool, locally from Afghanistan, contributing to her homeland's economy. Despite her challenges as a female entrepreneur in Afghanistan, Benafsha has continued pursuing her passion and inspiring others in her community. Her determination and hard work have made her a role model for young girls and women in Afghanistan and beyond. Benafsha aims to expand her business to the international market believing that Afghanistan's handicrafts are unique and deserve recognition globally.
