THE MAWRI STORE

Selling from Afghanishtan

Ismail Qasemi established The Mawri store in 2016 after spending seven years distributing raw materials for carpet weaving to different provinces and exporting carpets internationally. Through his dedication and hard work, Ismail realized his dream of starting his own business. Before this, Ismail pursued a bachelor's degree in Economics and diligently served as an apprentice for nearly ten years before venturing into entrepreneurship. The Mawri store employs approximately 50 direct and 10-15 indirect employees. The store prides itself on offering exclusively hand-woven carpets of exceptional quality, all available at reasonable prices. The raw materials used in production are sourced from various provinces nationwide. The store features diverse designs, including Soltani, Bezak, Khorjin, Geba, Mashhadhi, Maroko, Dotun, and other types of rugs and Gelim's designs. Ismail's motivation to continue his efforts stems from his aspiration to witness the growth of the Afghan hand-woven carpet industry. He attempts to educate his customers about the intricate production process and the variety of products The Mawri store offers. Moreover, Ismail aims to contribute to the country's economy by promoting Afghan hand-woven carpets. Despite the success of The Mawri store, Ismail faces challenges, particularly in the realm of sales. He is determined to overcome these obstacles and persistently provide customers with the finest carpets that Afghanistan offers at affordable prices. Should the business continue to thrive, it will yield profitability for the company and prove advantageous to the country's overall economy. The Mawri store is a dynamic business that promotes Afghan hand-woven carpets and contributes to the country's economy. Ismail's unwavering dedication and tireless efforts have been instrumental in achieving this objective, and he remains hopeful for the future, continuing his pursuit of success.
