They came back with one important hope: to continue the education they had been forced to leave behind.They wanted to study.But their journey had already cost them four important years of education.Four Years LostDuring the four years their family lived in Iran, the brothers were unable to continue their education. Despite their interest in studying, they were not enrolled in Iranian schools.Because their family had no stable financial situation, the brothers were also forced to work long hours to help their family survive.For four years, while other young people their age were attending school, studying, and preparing for their futures, these three brothers were working.They did not fall behind because they were unwilling to learn.They fell behind because circumstances left them with very few choices.Those four years created a significant gap in their education.They Chose Education AgainOne year ago, their family returned to Afghanistan so the brothers could have another opportunity to continue their education.Despite the years they had lost, they did not give up.They returned to school.Today:<ul><li>Basir ahmad is 21 years old and in Grade 10.</li><li>Golahmad is 19 years old and in Grade 9.</li><li>Jalilahmad is 17 years old and in Grade 6.</li></ul>Their ages and grades may look unusual at first, but behind those numbers is a story of four years spent away from the classroom—not because they lacked ambition, but because they were working and could not continue their education.Now they are trying to rebuild what was lost.But Their Future Is Still at RiskThe family currently has no stable source of income.Although the brothers have returned to school, their financial situation continues to put their education at risk. They wanted to study.

Four Years Lost
During the four years their family lived in Iran, the brothers were unable to continue their education. Despite their interest in studying, they were not enrolled in Iranian schools.
Because their family had no stable financial situation, the brothers were also forced to work long hours to help their family survive.
For four years, while other young people their age were attending school, studying, and preparing for their futures, these three brothers were working.
They did not fall behind because they were unwilling to learn.

They Chose Education Again
One year ago, their family returned to Afghanistan so the brothers could have another opportunity to continue their education.
Despite the years they had lost, they did not give up.
They returned to school.
Today:
