About Campaign

Even before the rule of the curent government, Daykundi was one of the most difficult provinces for aid organizations to reach because of the presence of terrorist insurgents. For this reason, little reconstruction has been done in Daykondi, leaving the province unstable, impoverished, and vulnerable to the threats of climate change, a crashing economy, and the persecuting of the insurgence group. Currently, the farming community of Daykundi faces heavy pressure from Warlords to forcefully leave their lands. The meager livelihoods they had are at immediate risk as their crops, houses, and stores are seized by the terrorist groups. Such targeted attacks are one of many against the minorities under the de-facto regime who view them as heretics. This campaign is an effort to financially support families at risk in any way that we can.  Photo credit : Aman Sedaqat
