Asma’s Story — A Helping Hand for Asma, A Hope for Her Children...Today, I want to share the story of Asma, a 32-year-old woman from Mazar-e-Sharif who has been facing many hardships for years, yet continues to hold on to hope for her children.Asma has been married for six years and has one child. When life became increasingly difficult, she was forced to sell everything she had and leave Afghanistan with her family for Iran. They spent difficult days there without a proper home. Asma eventually found a job and managed to rent a small place, but their situation did not last. After being deported, they returned to Afghanistan with almost nothing left.They had no home, no basic household belongings, and no financial support. They were forced to stay at her father-in-law’s house, living in a single room with nothing but a mattress. For nearly three years, they have continued to live in these difficult conditions, sometimes struggling even to have enough food.But today, Asma is facing an even greater challenge.Asma is pregnant, but she does not have enough money for the medical checkups and care she needs during pregnancy. Her baby is expected to be born in winter, yet she has very limited resources to prepare for the baby or provide the basic things a newborn needs.Imagine being a mother, waiting for your baby to arrive, while constantly wondering:“How will I take care of my baby when they are born?”Asma cannot overcome these difficulties alone. She needs our support—for her medical care, her baby’s basic needs, and the essential necessities of life.A small contribution from us can become a great source of hope for Asma and her children.Let’s not allow a mother waiting for her child to be born to face these worries alone. 🤍
