Based on a field survey and information collected from the area, local families are facing a serious shortage of clean drinking water. Around 300 families from four different villages currently depend on a single spring for their water needs. The long distance to the water source, difficult transportation, and limited water availability create daily challenges for the community, especially for women, children, and elderly people. According to the field observations and videos collected from the area, families have to travel a long distance every day to collect water. In many cases, they have to carry the water back to their homes with great difficulty. The situation becomes even more difficult during the dry season. Considering the large number of people who will benefit from the project and the lack of proper access to clean water, there is an urgent need to dig a water well equipped with a solar system, water pump, and a basic water distribution network. This project will provide four villages with a more reliable and accessible source of clean drinking water.
