Zahra, 21, and Maliha, 11, are two sisters whose lives have been deeply affected by illness, poverty, and the lack of access to medical care. Zahra was born with poor health and, because her family has struggled financially, she was unable to receive the medical attention and nutritious food she needed as she grew up. Over the years, her health and strength continued to decline. Eventually, she lost the ability to walk. Today, at 21 years old, Zahra cannot walk and has spent almost her entire life at home. She was unable to attend school and has been deprived of many of the opportunities that other young people have. Years later, her younger sister Maliha was born healthy. However, when Maliha was still young, she suffered a serious accident when boiling water was poured onto her by her older sister. After the accident, her health began to deteriorate. Once again, the family could not afford the medical care she needed. Maliha is now only 11 years old. She has also been unable to attend school and continues to live with serious health and mobility difficulties. These two sisters have spent years without the medical care, nutrition, and support they desperately need—not because their family does not care for them, but because they simply cannot afford it. We want to give Zahra and Maliha a chance to receive the care they have been denied for so long. The funds raised through this campaign will help provide them with medical examinations, consultations, necessary treatment, and nutritious food. Most importantly, we want qualified doctors to assess their conditions and determine what treatment and rehabilitation may help improve their strength and mobility. For Zahra and Maliha, this is more than medical treatment. It is a chance to regain some independence, a chance for Maliha to have access to education, and a chance for both sisters to experience a life beyond the four walls of their home.
