Nearly one year ago, I returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan. Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain a refugee card, which has prevented me from receiving assistance and services available to registered returnees. However, I have documents proving my years of residence in Pakistan, including my children's birth records from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) hospital in Peshawar, vaccination cards, and other supporting documents.I am the sole provider for a family of 13. Our household consists of myself, my 14-year-old son, and the remaining family members are women. I have no stable job and no regular source of income. The small amount of work I occasionally find is only enough to cover the needs of a single day and is far from sufficient to support a large family.We currently live in a rented house and are struggling with approximately 40,000 Afghanis in unpaid rent and electricity bills. Our landlord has repeatedly asked us to pay these debts and has warned that we may be forced to leave the house if we cannot settle the outstanding amount. The possibility of losing our home has placed our family under tremendous stress and uncertainty.Providing food, clothing, and other basic necessities has become extremely difficult. There are times when my children become ill, but I cannot afford medical treatment or medication. Supporting a family of 13 without a stable income has become an overwhelming challenge.I also sought assistance from the Department of Refugees and Repatriation, but my request was denied because I do not possess a refugee card, despite having documents that confirm my previous residence in Pakistan.I respectfully appeal to kind-hearted donors and compassionate individuals for support during this difficult time. Your contributions will help us pay overdue rent and electricity bills, purchase food and essential household items, cover urgent family expenses, and secure safe shelter for my family.I am fully prepared to provide any documents or evidence required to verify my circumstances, debts, family situation, and previous residence in Pakistan.
