Based on a recent field survey in this area of Jawzjan Province, there is a strong need for a new drinking water well. Around 100 families live in the area and currently face difficulties accessing clean and safe drinking water. There is also a school near the proposed location, with around 500 students who will benefit from the water well. The area is located along a main public road, so the water source will also be useful for people in the local market, travelers, and farmers. Farmers will use the water for their daily needs, limited irrigation, and to provide water for their livestock. Based on the technical assessment, the proposed well will be approximately 100 meters deep and will include a solar system, water pump, and a 2,500-liter water storage tank. This will help provide clean water to the community on a regular basis.
