Most families in our village live on less than $300 USD per year. Many parents work far away in big cities, leaving grandparents or older siblings to care for the children. Education is the only path to a better future for them — but every September, we lose students because their families cannot afford even the basic school fees.

This year, 38 children are at risk of dropping out.
The school has given us until the end of this month to cover their fees, otherwise they won’t be able to continue classes.

The total required to keep all 38 children in school is $5,300 USD (≈38,000 RMB), which covers books, learning materials, uniforms, and winter essentials.
