Ahmad Shan, a 41-year-old father of four, has seen his life spiral into hardship and despair. Originally from the serene district of Jabal Saraj in Parwan province, Ahmad now lives in District 17 of Kabul, where his struggles have overshadowed his once hopeful dreams.
