Maryam lost her father two years ago, and her mother, a widow recently deported from Iran, worked tirelessly to give her daughter a safe place to sleep. That home is now gone. 💔
When Aseel’s Atalaan reached their village, Maryam was holding her teddy bear the only thing she could save. Even amid the ruins, she smiled softly, a quiet symbol of strength and innocence.
No child should have to live through loss twice.

This is Wazir Armin, and I work with Aseel, a social enterprise connecting people worldwide to support vulnerable communities in developing countries with a special focus on Afghanistan. Our team activated emergency response within hours of the earthquake, and our Atalaan/Heros network is on the ground identifying families like Maryam’s who have lost everything. This campaign aims to rebuild Maryam and her mother’s home, restore their sense of safety, and bring hope back into their lives.
