About Campaign

Rise to Care: Afghan Women for Afghan Women is a campaign led by actress, activist, and nursing student Mahal Wak, who balances her studies and multiple jobs while continuing to advocate for women and children across the world. This campaign draws strength from Mahal’s lived experience — the long nights, the relentless effort to create a future, and the emotional toll of caregiving. It is a tribute to Afghan women everywhere who, despite displacement, poverty, or loss, continue to care for others — often while receiving little care themselves. Today, thousands of Afghan returnee women are facing unimaginable challenges. They are raising children in tents, cooking with no food, and sleeping under open skies — but still holding their families together. They are the silent backbone of survival — and they deserve our support. Through this campaign, we aim to: Provide Meal Boxes for mothers struggling to feed their families Deliver Shelter Packages to protect women and children from harsh weather Distribute Clothing Kits to restore warmth and dignity Care knows no borders. Whether in a hospital hallway in Europe or a roadside in Afghanistan, Afghan women continue to carry the world. It’s time we carry each other. Join Mahal in helping Afghan women not just survive — but rise.

Mahal Wak

Mahal Wak is an award-winning Afghan actress, model, and dedicated advocate for women and children’s rights. While pursuing a nursing degree and working two jobs abroad, Mahal continues to use her platform to amplify the voices of Afghan women facing displacement, poverty, and violence.
