When opportunity disappears, talent does not. In Mazar-i-Sharif, many young Afghan women have the talent and determination to build businesses but lack safe access to training and opportunity. The Afghan Women’s Enterprise Initiative is a hands-on business development program guiding women from idea to income through practical training in business planning, pricing, marketing, and financial literacy. Each participant leaves with a realistic, launch-ready business plan designed for sustainable, home-based income. Your support funds training, mentorship, and a safe learning space.

In Mazar-e-Sharif and across Balkh Province, many women and girls are no longer able to continue their education. Despite having skills in tailoring, cooking, handicrafts, and beauty services, they remain financially dependent due to limited opportunities. For widows, young women, and girls who had to leave school, the challenge is not ability—it is lack of access. Without business knowledge, financial skills, and market understanding, their talents cannot turn into income. This program is designed to change that reality.
🎯 Objective We aim to train 20 women in practical entrepreneurship skills so they can turn their existing abilities into sustainable home-based businesses. Through an 8-week structured training, participants will learn how to: Build a business from their current skills Set prices and manage money Understand customers and markets Promote and sell their products Launch and grow small businesses from home
📚 Training Program The training will be delivered in a safe, women-only environment by an experienced female trainer. Participants will: Develop their own real business ideas Practice pricing and budgeting Create a complete business plan Present and improve their ideas Receive feedback and mentorship Prepare for immediate business launch
