Meet Raihan, a bright and innocent 5 year-old girl who has been facing unimaginable challenges since birth. She suffers from a severe condition known as neurogenic bladder, caused by spina bifida, which prevents her from controlling her urine and stool.

Raihan underwent her first spina bifida surgery four years ago, but sadly, her condition continues to affect her health. She currently requires another spinal operation, as doctors have found complications that need urgent intervention. To keep her alive, she has been placed on continuous medical therapy to manage her bladder condition showing only slight improvement. If this treatment fails, doctors have warned that surgical intervention will be the only option left.

Recent medical examinations reveal that Raihan’s bladder problems have already begun damaging her kidneys, with one kidney severely affected due to hydronephrosis (urine buildup). Without timely and advanced treatment, she risks losing her remaining kidney and facing life-threatening complications.
