Mohammad Sadiq is an 13-month-old boy suffering from severe malnutrition due to his family’s extreme poverty. He is currently admitted to Indira Gandhi Hospital. According to his mother, she was unable to provide enough breast milk for him because the family could not access enough food, and she herself was malnourished.

The doctors have warned that Mohammad Sadiq's life is at risk if he does not receive proper care and special nutritional food. He needs this food until his body recovers and can safely digest normal meals.

● 2025 (Projected): 3.5 million children — including 
o 867,308 children suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM)
o 2,589,174 children affected by Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM)

The crisis does not end with children. Maternal malnutrition remains alarmingly high, affecting
nearly one million pregnant and breastfeeding women (PBW) each year:
● 2025 (Projected): 1,159,346 PBW expected to suffer from acute malnutrition
