About Campaign

More than half of Afghanistan’s population are facing emergency levels of food insecurity. The people of Afghanistan are in urgent need of food, water, shelter, and protection, with more than 19 million people suffering from starvation. Poverty has led many families to take extreme measures to survive including selling their organs and children so they can have a better chance of survival. International aid was cut off after the Taliban took over in August. In response to the hunger crisis in Afghanistan, I am lunching this winter appeal in collaboration with Aseel to provide families with food and aid packages. The funds raised through this appeal will be used to help as many families as possible who are in urgent need of support to survive. The food packages will be distributed to families who have no means of income such as widows, orphans, elderly, disabled and those who are most affected by the current humanitarian crisis in the country. We simply cannot stand back, and watch millions of children starve to death. We must act now to help the most vulnerable families affected by the crisis in Afghanistan.
