Mohammad Nayeem, a resident of Logar province, is a hardworking and kind father who works tirelessly from early morning until late at night, pushing his handcart in the markets. Despite all his efforts, he earns only about 100 Afghanis per day—an amount barely enough to buy bread.

He lives with his six-member family in a small mud house at the foot of a mountain. For the past three months, he has been unable to pay the rent. The landlord has warned that if he does not pay soon, they will have to leave their home.

Mohammad Nayeem’s eldest son has big dreams, but extreme poverty has forced him to drop out of school. However, his devoted father does everything he can to ensure his child continues his education.
