Asman Arts
Khalida Marefat, a talented artist born in Kabul, has spent her 25 years immersed in a rich cultural heritage. From an early age, she was captivated by the world of art, and it wasn't long before she found her true calling in miniature painting. Her journey into this intricate and delicate art form began seven years ago, inspired by the beauty she saw in other artistic creations. Driven by her passion, Khalida pursued formal training at the prestigious Turquoise Mountain Institute, a beacon for traditional Afghan arts and crafts. For three years, she honed her skills under the guidance of master artists, absorbing the techniques and traditions that have been passed down through generations. Her dedication paid off, and she graduated with honors, ready to take on the world with her unique artistic voice. Determined to share her love for miniature painting with others, Khalida founded Aseman Art. What started as a modest endeavor with just two artists has grown into a thriving collective. Today, Aseman Art is home to four talented artists who specialize in painting, calligraphy, miniature painting, and Islamic design. Together, they create exquisite works of art that blend traditional techniques with modern influences. Over the years, Aseman Art has participated in numerous exhibitions, showcasing their creations to art enthusiasts both in Afghanistan and beyond. However, selling their work was once a challenge, limited to local exhibitions with little opportunity to reach a global audience. This changed when Aseel stepped in, providing a platform that allowed Khalida and her fellow artists to transcend borders. Now, their stunning artworks can be admired and purchased by people all around the world, helping to preserve and promote Afghanistan's rich artistic heritage.
