Ms. Muska Gailani is the proprietor and creator of Khaista Boutique, her vision is that Khaista boutique is not just about fashion this time. During a time where our culture has been stolen from us, where color, grace and femininity has been seized. It’s here to give a reason to live for these beautiful women who create these pieces, from a place of hope. With love, purity & light in each stitch of a thread so that once again our beautiful country gains its color back through its colorful authenticity and grace which it’s known for. Muska’s team is the actual spine of Khaista boutique that is led by Ms. Shamila khawja who began learning and practicing craft in 2012 at the young age. With over a decade of experience in the field her team is capable of absolutely anything. In 2010, her team learned the art of design at Baagh zanana during a four-month course held in Kabul city by Indian instructors. Upon graduation, Shamila promptly began working for various organizations before eventually establishing Khaista Brand and making it AWC’s sub brand. Presently, Ms. Gailani oversees a team of ten skilled artisans who collaborate to create a diverse range of products such as clothing, bags, tablecloths, bed sheets, pillowcases, and more. All raw materials used are sourced locally in Kabul, and the brand offers a selection of thirty-four products available for purchase through their online Aseel shop. Muska's only aim is to help women with incredible talent to be known to the world. That even under the ashes there is sparkles of light, and to create employment opportunities for women which ultimately contributes in the economical growth of her country, Afghanistan.
