Born in 1998, Ali founded his small Alpaca Knitted store in 2019 in the small village of Erzurum. Ali’s passion for knitting was initially sparked by his grandmother, who taught him this art at a young age. He started knitting a vest, skirt, and baby booties for his little sister. His love for crochet gave him the aspiration to come up with new experiments, create more items, and later on develop his own store. At his store, Ali sells a range of handcrafted items, including granny squares, Afghan crochet, knit blankets, and vintage styles, all in various designs. Ali says that the Afghan crochet is very famous where he lives, and he is happy he can create it in his own shop. Ali is grateful to his grandmother for teaching him this art and says he will never forget her smile.
