Da Kunar Rangoona

Selling from Afghanishtan

Saima Saraj, the proud owner of Da Kunar Ragoona, started her work in women's fashion at 12. Although circumstances prevented her from completing education beyond the fourth grade, Saima channeled her energy into building a successful career and establishing her brand. Fascinated by women's attire and the art of fashion, she embarked on self-improvement and skill development at a young age. At the tender age of 12, Saima started honing her stitching, sewing, embroidery, and tailoring skills. Saima's initial step into the world of fashion began as an apprenticeship, where she dedicated nine months to learning the intricacies of her craft. This invaluable experience helped her refine her skills and become an expert. Today, Da Kunar Ragoona employs a dedicated team of two individuals who work tirelessly to fulfill orders and contribute to the brand's success. The company specializes in designing and producing Afghani Punjabi women's attires, blending the traditional styles of both regions. Each garment is a testament to the beauty of hand embroidery, crafted by skilled artisans from Afghanistan. These exquisite pieces cater to a variety of occasions, including weddings, engagements, evening parties, and anniversaries. Saima sources all her raw materials from Jalal-Abad in Afghanistan. By doing so, she ensures the highest quality and positively impacts the local economy. Currently, the brand offers a diverse range of 18 hand-embroidered women's clothing, each with unique charm and allure. Despite the challenges of limited resources and market restrictions, Saima remains undeterred. She recognizes the need for better tools and more favorable market conditions to expand her customer base and increase revenue. Nevertheless, Saima envisions the growth and recognition of Afghan products within and internationally. Through her passion, perseverance, and commitment to quality, Saima Saraj wants to become a symbol of inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs in the fashion industry.
