Mamoon Handicrafts ShopMamoon Handicrafts
Selling from AfghanishtanMusafer Khan Mamond, the founder of Mamoon Handicrafts, which is also known as Musafer Khan Mamond Charsada Chapal Factory, started his entrepreneurial journey after completing his Baccalaureate from Kunar Asadabad High School in 1392. He commenced his professional career in 1996 at the Refugee camp Bajure Agency in KPK, Pakistan. At the refugee camp, UNHCR introduced vocational training for Afghan Refugees in KPK and one of Musafer's relatives encouraged him to partake in training. This training spanned six years, equipping him with the necessary skills to establish his own chapal manufacturing facilities. During his time in the refugee camp in Pakistan, Musafer acquired expertise in Charsada chapal making and devoted six years to honing his skills and working professionally. Presently, his chapal factory employs a maximum of seven people directly and over 50 indirectly. Mamoon Handicrafts caters to customer demands by producing various Charsada chapals, including the Imran Khan Chapel, Peshawar Zalmy, Panjadar Chapel, Chapel Shoes, and Classic Chapel. The raw materials required for production are sourced from Pakistan, Korea, and Italy through Afghan traders. The brand boasts an extensive range of over 700 products available for purchase on the Aseel website. Despite the substantial demand, the brand does not produce during winter due to limited market opportunities. However, the product line adapts based on prevailing market conditions. Consequently, there is a need for appropriate shoe production equipment to meet market requirements. Additionally, the brand incurs various yearly expenses during the summer, spanning from April to July, when the chapel market and production thrive. The owner believes financial support from organizations like Brac, ACEBA, and IOM would be crucial to sustaining this business. Furthermore, Musafer recognizes the necessity for training to enhance production, updated tools, avenues for exporting products to international markets, and a reliable supply of raw materials to ensure efficient business operations.
