Mahboba Zamani is the owner and founder of Marhaba Zarin Handicrafts. She started learning carpet weaving from her sister when she was in the first grade, which gives her 15 years of work experience in the Handmade industry. Subsequently, she started working in 2016 after graduating from the university. Aside from economic and financial aspects, her goal is to someday become one of the greatest women traders in Afghanistan. Currently, more than 300 employees work directly or indirectly with her company. Using modern and wood-color designs, she and her employees produce handmade carpets and rugs with raw materials from internal markets. Throughout the years, they have participated in different national and international exhibitions, showing Afghan handwoven carpets and rugs to the world, among which the biggest exhibitions of Uzbekistan, India, and the United Arab Emirates are important to mention. They have sold more than 1000 meters of rugs and carpets from their stock so far. For the time being, they have more than 15 different kinds of handmade rugs and carpets in stock. Wanting the world to realize how valuable Afghan handmade products are and believing that they make the best-weaved handmade carpets, Marhaba hopes to expand her business worldwide. Mahboba envisions becoming a renowned Carpet and rug manufacturer and expanding her business globally through Aseel's collaboration and Turquoise Mountain's business development support.
