Qarqin Carpet & Rugs

Afghanistan

Qarqin Carpets Founded in 1972 by Mohammad Wali in the Qarqin district of Jawuzjan, Qarqin Carpets is a family-led business rooted in three generations of Afghan carpet-making tradition. Together with his grandson, Abdul Majeed Qarqin, Wali modernized production to bring high-quality, handmade carpets directly to customers both locally and internationally. Today, Qarqin Carpets employs over 600 Afghan artisans who hand-weave intricate designs from their homes and the company’s facility. Their collection features traditional Afghan patterns—such as Maranosi, Patnosi, Aqcha, Bukhara, and more—known for rich colors and detailed craftsmanship. With shops in Kabul and Mazar, and a new partnership with Aseel, Qarqin Carpets is proudly sharing Afghan artistry with the world while supporting local communities and preserving a timeless heritage.
