Baig and Baigam Carpet

Selling from Afghanishtan

Azizullah Baig is the current owner of the Baig Brothers Carpet Business. Their business's roots go back around seventy to eighty years ago from his grandfather and father. Baig's predecessors used to work in the same company and passed it on to their children. Baig's father worked in this business for more than sixty years, and then Baig took the lead in it. Now, he has about over forty years when it comes to his personal experience in this field. His family members also work with him; each professional in carpet weaving, coloring, washing, and more. All other related activities to carpet weaving are accomplished within their company's premises, even the carpets' decoration and design. When the company sales were high, many people and trainees worked with them back then. However, the trainees and employees currently vary from seven to eleven members, as they dedicate different tasks to different families to work on it. Additionally, after 2001, the business dimmed, and many carpet businesses shifted back to the country's northern region. They got fewer sales, and their business got affected, but they still have orders from Badakhshan and Andkhoi provinces located in the country's northern region. Though they are confronting many financial and low-sales problems, they do not intend to stop. Their goal is to have a business abroad again and export their beautiful handwoven carpets to the world, putting Afghanistan back at the top for best carpets in the world.
