As is evident to the entire world, Afghanistan is currently facing its most significant economic crisis. According to reports, 70% of Afghans are living below the poverty line. The World Food Organization has announced that it will only be able to assist 5 million people in need by the end of this year. Meanwhile, more than 25 million people in Afghanistan do not have access to enough food. Particularly since the ban on women working was imposed, the unemployment rate has surged. Most families lack the means to provide for their basic needs or even to prepare sufficient food for their children.

Afghans who have been denied access to humanitarian aid or have had aid distributions cut off have lost all hope. The United Nations aims to provide approximately $2.3 billion in aid to Afghanistan in 2023, but only a small portion has been allocated thus far. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has stated that around 28.3 million people require assistance and protection this year, more than ever before due to increased risks and special needs. Simultaneously, charitable organizations in Afghanistan are abandoning their efforts due to the dire situation. This places the people of Afghanistan in an extremely challenging predicament.
