Aseel Scoops up First Place at the XtremeTech Challenge Japan, Putting Afghanistan on the Map for Tech Innovation

Afghanistan's Aseel Technology Corporation has won the Japan Challenge at XtremeTech, the premier global technology competition. XtremeTech drew varied, skilled leaders worldwide, each vying to present original concepts and cutting-edge technology solutions.



After a rigorous selection process, the judges declared the winner of the Japan Challenge to be the team from the Afghan company Aseel, led by Mr. Nasrat Khalid. The team impressed the judges with their groundbreaking technology that has the potential to connect three billion people in underdeveloped communities with the digital economy.



With 84% of funding reaching recipients, Aseel, a Technology innovation focusing on social impact, has created the most effective mechanism for distributing humanitarian aid. In Afghanistan, the World Food Program has a participation rate of above 50%. The Do Good initiative was launched and tested in Afghanistan, where more than 500,000 Afghans benefited. This program provides unparalleled openness and verification and is highly efficient, with every participant receiving aid.



Aseel's innovative technology is still developing and is based on empowering underdeveloped and developing communities to join the digital economy. The system uses a combination of advanced technology to onboard artisans in countries like Afghanistan and Turkey and enables them to sell their handmade products to customers globally.

The team from Aseel Technology Corporation will receive a prize of $100,000 and the opportunity to showcase their technology at the XtremeTech Global Finals.
