Salam, and welcome to my Aseel shop! I’m Zalgai Usmani, the founder of Afghan Lajaward Handicrafts. I started this journey in 2020, driven by my love for Afghan art and culture. With a background in miniature and design, I’ve spent years studying traditional Afghan art forms, especially the beautiful Nuristani miniature artwork and the intricate designs of Herat. Here, you’ll find handcrafted pieces made from Archa and Walnut wood, adorned with detailed carvings and gilding. Each item is a reflection of Afghanistan’s rich artistic heritage, and I’m proud to share it with the world. My team and I, mostly talented women artisans, pour creativity and care into every piece.
