I am Samira Salik, founder of Afghan Silk, a workshop based in Kabul that produces beautiful, handcrafted women’s clothing. With a Bachelor’s degree from Kabul University and remote training in AI, Digital Marketing, and GIS, I wanted to create opportunities for women facing limited educational and employment options due to political changes in Afghanistan. In response to these challenges, I, along with a group of women, established Afghan Si.
